August Favourites

Saturday, 29 August 2015

I can’t believe how fast this year is going, I can’t believe the summer is over already, I’ve been out of college since the beginning of June and I can’t believe how quick these three months have gone. Anyways here are my favourites from this month.

My first favourite of the month has to be the Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub. I’ve been using this after each time I shave my legs and after using It in the shower I will moisturise and I can honestly say my skin has never felt softer than it does after I’ve used this. It’s a very fresh and limey smell, but it’s my favourite thing to use in the shower at the moment.

My second favourite is the Zoella Lets Spritz Body Mist this mist is such a nice light spray, it’s got quite a subtle scent that isn’t over powering. It’s very sweet and fruity. I’m really bad at describing scents but it does smell amazing and the packaging is so cute and for only £7 I love this product.

My third favourite of the month has to be this app for the iPhone called Pump Up which is a work out app that is one side a social media app so you can get inspiration and share your progress and then there’s the workout side to the app where you can choose which level of exercise you want to do and which area you want to focus on and for however long you want to. I’ve just started using this app this month and I already love it a lot I find it really good to use especially since I can’t get to a gym so It gives me different workouts to do at home without any equipment.

Another favourite of mine has been the book Paper Towns by John Green. I’m not a massive reader but I love John Green’s book and I decided I really want to read Paper Towns before I see the film and I’ve only just started it but it’s definitely a really good book that I would recommend.

My final favourites of the month are two Real Techniques brushes, which I got in the Collectors Edition Sculpting set, which was an exclusive set that isn’t actually on the real techniques website anymore but I think you may still be able to get them from Superdrug as they’re still on their website. The two brushes that I have loved from this set are the Sculpting Brush and the Setting brush.

The setting brush is a very small round brush that I use for powder and I use a lot more for powder instead of the actual Real Techniques Powder brush that I own. I use a very small amount of powder and this brush is perfect for the areas where I use powder such as under my eyes, my forehead, on my chin and down my T-zone. And I love the sculpting brush for bronzer. This brush is an angled brush that is great for applying bronzer to contour with.

So these are my favourites for this month, what are some of your favourite things from August?

July Favourites

Monday, 27 July 2015

This year is going far too quickly and this month has completely disappeared. So here are some of my favourites from July. This post was meant to go up last Saturday but i was busy during the day and by the time i realised i had forgot to post this i felt really ill and i didn't post it so here it is now.

My first favourite of the month is the Revlon HD Lipsticks.  I got these at the beginning of the month and I ended up buying two. I got these in 825 Hydrangea (Left) and 875 Gladiolus (Right). These have became an instant favourite and I have been wearing both of these throughout the entire month. These lipsticks are such good quality for how much they cost, £8 from Boots.  They’re very glossy and last for a good few hours and the colours are gorgeous.

Another Make up favourite from this month is the Stila All Day waterproof Liquid Eyeliner; it’s £13 from Boots. This is the second liquid eyeliner that I have bought, the first was the Maybelline gel pot, this one is a pen styled eyeliner, which is so good. The colour lasts all day and doesn’t fade. It dries very quickly so it doesn’t smudge if your hand slips. And its so easy to apply.

So I’ve never tried any hair products from Lush yet and after much debate I finally went out and bought the American Cream conditioner. And this has become a new favourite. It’s a double strength Conditioner, which the woman in Lush told me is great for hair that gets a lot of heat used on it (such as my own which I use straighteners on nearly every day.) this conditioner smells amazing, like a strawberry milkshake. The conditioner itself is really light and doesn’t weigh your hair down.

My TV favourite of the month is Teen Wolf, Season five started up at the beginning of this month and its been very intense so far and there’s so many things happening and many questions that need to be answered. It’s very one edge and the story line this season is just so dark and mysterious there's so much suspense compared to the first few seasons but i've been loving this program so much!

And my final favourite of the month is a Youtuber, and that Youtuber is Kick The PJ. I’ve never really watched him before this month, I’ve heard of him but just recently started watching him and he’s brilliant. He’s so creative and he makes some incredible short films and other videos, if your into film styled youtube videos then he's definitely worth the watch.

So these were my favourites for this month, what have been some of your favourites from July?

June Favourites

Saturday, 27 June 2015

Hey guys,

Another month gone and its only 4 days until my birthday and I’ll finally be able to drive! Anyway here are some of my favourites from June.

My first favourite has been the Blackberry bath bomb from Lush, I was ill at the beginning of June and I used the bath bomb on one of the days I was feeling really ill and it was so good, the bath bomb smelt amazing and it made the water quite oily which made my skin feel super soft. The bath was very relaxing and so comforting; this bath bomb is definitely one I want to repurchase!

My second favourite is from Newlook, which is my striped shirt that I absolutely love! I’ve been wearing it with a pair of top shop charcoal grey ripped jeans and a pair of Topshop black ankle boots that can be found in my last fashion haul which can be found HERE.

My next favourite is a beauty item, which is from Topshop, and it’s the nail polish pool party, which is a turquoise blue. It’s such a nice summery colour. These nail polishes do need two to three layers and when it’s being applied to the nails it can be quite thin but apart from that these are really good nail polishes that aren’t too expensive.

Another beauty favourite of mine is the Revlon  colour burst lip gloss in 006 Strawberry Fraise. I love these lip glosses I own four of them, but this one is the one I wear the most, it’s a lovely colour that is perfect for spring or summer, the lip glosses themselves last quite a while and are very pigmented, this lip-gloss is definitely my go to lip product when I don’t want to wear a lipstick.

And my final favourite of the month is a TV favourite, which is The 100, the show is set in the future, after a nuclear war destroyed civilisation on Earth and some people from the Ark (this spaceship survivors live on) sends down 100 delinquents back to earth and so much happens its brilliant and there’s currently two seasons of this show.

So these have been some of my favourites for June, what have been some of your favourites this month?

May Favourites

Saturday, 30 May 2015

This year seems to be going far too fast, it’s already the end of May; I’ve sat two exams and have three more to go. I can’t wait for them to be over with so I can drop out of sixth form and get a job. Anyways here are my favourites for this month.

My first favourite is a beauty product and I did post a blog post about it a couple of weeks ago and it’s the Liz Earle Cleanse And Polish Cleanser. I love this product it’s a new product I’ve tried and I instantly fell in love with it, if you would like to see a proper review you can find that post HERE.

My next favourite is another beauty product and it’s the Maybelline Eye Studio Long Lasting Drama Eyeliner. I’ve just recently started using eyeliner and my friend recommended this one to me, so I gave it a go and I love this. It lasts all day and it’s easy to apply, nice bold and solid colour, I own this in black.

Another favourite of mine is this Newlook Black Tote with Black and White stripes down the sides. I’m going on holiday later this year and I thought this bag would be perfect for taking with me for when I’m going down to the pool etc, but I’ve recently been using it for either college or just everyday use and it’s a nice change than having a backpack and especially whilst getting on and off of the metro I find it easier to get my pass out or paying for things.

TV favourites of this month, I know I’ve meant to be revising for exams and that but I’ve found myself starting new TV shows and this time I’ve started to watch The Flash. I started watching this originally when it first got shown on Sky but I stopped watching it and ended up getting sidetracked by other tv shows so I went back and finished season one and I love it. If you love superhero things then you’ll love this.

My other TV favourite is Once Upon A Time I’m on Season three now and I love it so much. I’ve seen a lot of posts about this program on Tumblr and I thought it was about time I jump in and join them and it’s quite an interesting program, quite weird as it involves fairy tale characters like snow white, The Evil Queen and many more but this curse has been put on these characters and they can’t remember who they are and yeah it’s very good.

And my final favourite is a Drink, I’ve started to fall in love with Coffee and I went to Starbucks to do some revision and I tried the Starbucks Caramel Macchiato and the drink is steamed milk with a shot of espresso with the signature crosshatched sauce on top you can get this in three different flavours one being Hazelnut and the other being New Maple. It’s just such a nice sweet drink.

So these have been my favourites of May, what are some of your favourites from this month?
