March Favourites

Saturday, 28 March 2015

So March is almost over with and it’s officially spring! Yet in the UK we’re still getting weather that’s quite winter like with temperatures of like 2 degrees but there has been some sun! Anyways here are my favourites for March.

My first favourite of March has been The Walking Dead. I started watching this a couple of weeks ago and I got hooked on it instantly I ended up watching all five seasons in 2 and half weeks I love it! It’s such an addictive TV program as you never know what will happen next there’s so many cliff hangers and it always has you on edge and I absolutely love it, I love the characters and it’s basically just brilliant.

My next favourite is the nail polish A-List by Essie. I’m a massive fan of the Essie nail polishes I find they’re easy to apply and the look stunning and last so long but I’ve been loving this nail polish it’s been on my nails for the entire month!

Another beauty favourite of mine has been The Body Shop’s Instablur Primer I absolutely love this, I’ve never really used primers before this but I did get a sample of the Maybelline one and didn’t like it but this one I love, a couple of weeks ago I did a full review on it so if any of you want to know more you can find that post HERE.

My favourite music favourite is a song by American Hi-fi, which is called The Art Of Loosing, and I just love this song, it’s been on replay so much.

And my final favourite of the month is a singer and I’ve just enjoyed his music a lot over the last couple of weeks and it’s James Bay I love the songs Hold Back The River, Collide and Craving he’s just a really good artist and his music is so good.

And that is all of my Favourites for March, what have been some of your favourites from this month?

February Favourites

Saturday, 28 February 2015

Wow February is such a short month I can’t believe that it’s March tomorrow, I’ve almost completed my first year of Sixth form and that’s crazy my exams are going to be so soon, anyways since it’s the end of February It’s time for my monthly favourites.

So my first favourite has been the Simple Kind To Skin Illuminating Cream, I’ve had this since the end of January I think and I absolutely love this product! I use it in the morning before putting my foundation on and I love the effect it leaves on the skin, since it’s an illuminating cream it brightens the skin up leaving you looking more radiant and awake. The cream itself has a shimmer in it that adds a natural highlight to your skin. I find that after I’ve done my make up my cheek bones have a nice shine to them and under my brow bone making it look like I’ve applied a highlighter even if I haven’t and since it dries quickly I find I don’t have to wait around before putting my foundation on meaning I can do it straight away.

Another beauty favourite of mine is the Collection Long Lasting concealer, everyone raves on about this product and I can see why, this is the best concealer I’ve tried and I’ve tried a couple just some cheap drugstore ones but this one is by far my favourite, I find that it covers my dark circles under my eyes easily and with a little powder on top lasts all day at college so from 7am till about half 6pm it doesn’t crease under my eyes either and it’s definitely a cheap product.

My final beauty related product is the Real Techniques buffing brush, I love this brush I use it to apply my foundation and I find that it just applies it so well to the skin and gives it a flawless look. This is definitely my favourite brush for applying foundation.

My next favourite is an old TV show which is Malcolm In The Middle, this program came out in the 2000’s and I remember I used to watch it as a kid
And I found it on Netflix so I started to watch it and last week I finished watching all 7 seasons of it and I realised just how good of a program it actually is.

My final favourite of the month is Fall Out Boys new album- American Beauty/ American Psycho. This has got to be my favourite album at the moment; at first I wasn’t that keen on the album due to it leaning more towards the pop side of things and less of the Fall Out Boy sound but after listening to the album a numerous amount of times I’ve finally got used to the sound and I absolutely love it especially the songs, Immortals, Uma Thurman and The Kids Aren’t Alright.

And that is all of my Favourites for February, what have been some of your favourites from this month?

Music Mondays

Tuesday, 25 November 2014

So it’s been a while since I’ve posted a music post and i know it's not Monday but since my last music post, which was my autumn playlist, which can be found (here.) I’ve discovered more songs most are in the alternative side of music, well I say alternative but it’s probably more along the lines of pop punk or you know I’m not going to get into this because I’ll probably get it wrong, so here is a list of some new music I’ve been listening to.

So the first song I have been listening to has been McBusted– Air guitar, I went to see McBusted back in May and It had me so excited when they said they were releasing their first single as a band and got overly excited and it’s such a catchy tune I love it so much.

The next song is by Good Charlotte and it’s called Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous, I love this song it’s been in my spotify playlist for only a few days but I once again love it it’s such a like fast song and it’s one of those songs I’ve been listening to when I’ve been walking to the college from the metro station and it just puts me in a good mood and it makes me want to dance around.

My next one has got to be a new favourite, which I found last weekend and it’s by Jamie T and I have to say he is such a great singer and my favourite song is Zombie. Once again quite an upbeat song and it’s different for me I don’t know there’s something I like about it.

I also have been loving good girls by 5sos, they’re one of my favourite bands and this song is their latest single and I’ve liked this song for a while but I really like the video to this song which came out not too long ago I think maybe a month? and it’s just one of those songs that has you up and dancing around it’s a really fun song.

Also by 5sos I’ve been enjoying their song daylight it’s off of their single album for Amnesia and it’s just a fun song again, I really like 5sos and I enjoy their songs and I love the instruments in every songs like in rejects I like the heavier instruments, but they’re just a fun band in general.

Also lately i've been enjoying listening to some pop music and recently i have been enjoying One Direction's new album Four, which is actually really good the songs on this album are really catchy and i find a lot of the time i get their song 'Stockholm Syndrome' stuck in my head along with 'Act My Age' which if you haven't heard it, it sounds very Irish or as how i've realised it kind of sounds a bit like something from Pirates Of The Caribbean, not sure why but it's very up beat but some of the songs are quite slow and the album it's self sounds very grown up for them and it's basic. It's been the one album i've had on repeat since it came out.

So these were a few songs I’ve been listening to recently and a few of my favourite artists, I have many more artists that I enjoy and have on my spotify list, which I might put into a post in the future, if you guys would like to see that then I might do a series which will be all the songs in my playlist.  What songs have you been listening to recently?

Music Monday #5

Monday, 1 September 2014

This week I have been loving the album Don’t Panic: It’s Longer now by All Time Low and I’ve been loving All Time Low this week especially this album but the one song that stands out the most is Somewhere in Neverland. My favourite Disney film is Peter pan and I was looking through All Time Low’s spotify page looking for some music and I spotted the song and clicked play and I love it, it was pretty pointless to say that peter pan is my favourite film but of course I saw ‘neverland’ and though ooh I have to listen to this, I did and it’s now added to my list along with the entire album.

Another song off the album that stands out is The Reckless And The Brave, once again I listened to it and I instantly fell in love with the song. I’m not going to try to describe the song but I will say that if you like pop- punk/ alternative music give the songs ago they’re great songs. I’ll leave the videos below but if you can’t view the videos here’s the links (Somewhere In Neverland) and (The Reckless And the Brave)
