A Few Of My Favourite Films

Sunday, 13 September 2015

So after running out of inspiration on what type of post I should post this week I thought I’d share a few of my favourite movies that I absolutely love and could watch over and over again so here are 5 of my favourite movies to watch.

1. One of my all time favourite movies to watch is Grease. I’ve loved this film since I was six. It’s been a favourite that I have watched many times over the years and it’s a movie that I will continue to watch and love in the futures.

2. My second favourite is quite a recent movie and that is The Maze runner. When I first found out that Dylan O’Brien was cast as the lead role in this movie I was so excited to see this film. Dylan O’Brien is one of my favourite actors and after I saw the trailer I new this would be a favourite of mine, and since the movie came out I have loved this movie and I’m very excited to see the sequel to this The Scorch Trials.

3. Another favourite is Pitch Perfect, this film is very funny and I love the cast to the movie. I enjoyed the first Pitch Perfect compared to the second one considering the fact that the first movie to me had a better plot and it was much more interesting, but some of the songs on the second movie were definitely better.

4. The Hunger Games Series. I don’t even know where to start with these movies. I love every single movie in The Hunger Games Series. I remember when the first movie came out in cinemas and I knew nothing about the film I hadn’t even heard of it and then I remember seeing it in cinemas and it blew my mind. I saw the second one in cinemas too and again the film didn’t disappoint me. This series is one of my favourites that I love to watch and could watch over and over again because of how well made they are and the plot is so good.

5. I think my final favourite movie has to be the Harry Potter Series. I’m currently re watching all of the Harry Potter’s and I forgot how much I love the movies. I actually remember my grandma owning the first two films on Video (VHS.) I own all the Harry Potter Films on Blue Ray and every year I end up watching at least one of the films. I grew up along with the Movies and Books and its just a movie that I love I remember the excitement of getting them on DVD each year as they came out or even going in the cinemas to see them.

So these are a few of my favourite movies, what are some of yours?

Five TV Programs I Love

Saturday, 23 May 2015

1.My top favourite TV program has got to be The Walking Dead, I only started watching this about a couple of months ago and ever since I watched the first episode I was hooked. I honestly watched 4 and a half seasons (as there was 3 episodes left of season 5 that needed to be aired) in 2 and half weeks, I caught up very quick and I love it. If you haven’t seen it it’s basically a zombie apocalypse with some survivors, but it’s so freaking amazing, it’s not all blood and gore but it is very character heavy, the problem is you will end up falling in love with a character then a couple of seasons later they’ll end up dying which is torturous when they’re great characters.

2. My second favourite TV program has got to be Supernatural, if you have been on any aspect of Tumblr then you will have heard of it or at least have seen a gif, I got curious after constantly seeing these ‘Winchester Brothers’ and I thought okay let’s give this ago and I got hooked again pretty quickly there’s 10 seasons so it took ages to catch up, but it’s such a good program, it’s about two brothers that hunt supernatural creatures as part of their fathers family business and a lot happens, but it’s great it’s not all action there’s some humour in it and some episodes will literally make you question if it’s actually a genuine TV program or just some made up thing.

3. My third favourite is Pretty Little Liars, now where to start? It’s so mysterious; you will literally be on the edge of your seat the entire time, so basically about 4 best friends who’s 5th friend had gone missing also known as ‘Allison’ she is found dead and the 4 girls Aria, Hannah, Spencer and Emily they start getting messages from this anonymous ‘A’ things happen and the newest season 5 things get revealed and it’s just brilliant it’s honestly worth the watch if you love mystery and drama.

4. Fourth favourite is Modern Family I watch this all the time, it’s one of those programs I’ll turn on my tv and have on in the background and I’ve watched over and over again. I love it all the different characters it’s really good, very funny and it’s a great program. It’s about 3 different families who are family so there’s Jay and Gloria with their son Manny. Claire and phil with their three kids Haley,Alex and Luke. The final family is Mitchell and Cam with their adopted daughter Lilly. Jay is Clair and Mitchell’s father and of course this connects the family and it just follows their life’s as a sitcom and it’s hilarious.

5. And my final favourite is another sitcom and of course it’s got to be Friends. I feel like I don’t need to describe it everyone has heard of it and it’s just so funny I’ve been watching friends for as long as I remember it’s been one of those programs I’ve grew up with and I just don’t get sick of it, I love all the characters, it’s all great humour and it’s just a fun feel good TV program.

So these are 5 TV programs that I love, what are some of your favourite TV programs to watch?

Favourite Places In My City

Saturday, 9 May 2015

So my first favourite place to visit In Newcastle is the Quayside, I absolutely love to go to the quayside there’s so many restaurants to go to and of course you have the millennium bridge which is really nice to see on a night time as it lights up and on top of that there’s The Baltic which is an art gallery and it’s just a really nice place to take photos and walk around.

Another place in Newcastle I love to go to is Eldon Square and Northumberland street which is a shopping centre and a high street, I go here a lot on my breaks during college or if I have an early finish, there’s loads of different shops, food shops etc and near Eldon Square there is an area called monument which has a statue called ‘Grey’s monument’ which is nice to sit at and relax by during the summer whilst your shopping.

Another place I like is kind of just a yearly thing, there’s a park in Newcastle called the Town Moore which well it’s just a land of grass but every year during the last week of June they have a funfair there which is called ‘The Hoppings‘ which I have been to quite a lot, i used to go a lot when I was younger but my parents and I stopped going as it was quite expensive and usually the weather is utter crap whilst it’s here. Literally the fair gets set up and the sky turns grey it happens every year, but I went with my cousin last year and it was really fun I did a post on it which you can find HERE If you’d like to see some pictures and to see my experience.

Another favourite of mine is St James Park which is a football stadium, I find it really cool and the fact that when I was younger I went to the football shop and I met the Newcastle manager (at the time) Kevin Keegan which I got a Newcastle Football shirt signed, also I went to a football match which was just a charity match (England vs. some other team) and I remember it well because of the fact that Sir Bobby Robson was still alive at the time and I saw him sitting on the opposite side of the stadium which was very cool unfortunately a couple of days later the news struck that he had passed away.

My final favourite in my town is based on the pure sight of the area it’s near monument and Eldon Square and it’s called Grainger Street and it’s just such a nice street, the buildings are so nice and it just looks stunning I love the look of the buildings and down the street there’s more high street shops such as Urban Outfitters and Space Nk, etc. but also there’s Grainger’s market which is massive and I’d love to get a picture of the inside you walk through and your hit with so many different smells such as spices or cooked food.

(Monument)

(the split between the two streets)

So this is a few of my favourite places to visit in my City, What are some of your favourite places where you live?

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
As a kid I don’t think I thought about it much, I probably did have something in mind like a vet or something but I’ve never been one to know what I want to do and now as I’ve finished high school I’m finding it hard to even begin to comprehend what I want to do and even though I’m doing A- Levels in Media, English Literature and English Language I still have nothing in mind.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?

I think I’m most proud of passing my GCSE’s I mean it’s nothing big the majority of people pass them in the UK, but I’m proud that I got through after worrying so much of not passing and only failing History and Maths (which I’m resitting maths so hopefully I’ll pass this year!) I’m happy about getting them over with and moving onto Sixth Form and getting into the Sixth Form college I’m in, I’m also very proud that since starting sixth form I’ve definitely became who I am, I’ve opened myself up more and I’ve branched out of my comfort zone and started talking to more people and making new friends.

So I hope you enjoyed getting to know me more and like I said last week I hope I can stick to posting once every week again!
