Last weekend I was looking through my bloglovin’ feed and i came across Chloe’s way’s blog and saw she had posted a new blog post, which was The Blogger Tag and I personally wasn’t tagged, but I thought it would be a nice post to do and especially since it’s easy to write and post especially with the very little time I have at the moment, anyway I’m going to stop rambling and get on with it so here is my answers to the Blogger Tag.

What is your favourite beauty product?

Oh god this is a hard one but recently a few months ago I bought a Kate Moss lipstick in the colour 30 and it’s my favourite thing at the moment I wear it all the time and it was quite cheap, if I remember correctly they’re around £5 maybe £6. I’m probably horribly wrong but I’m sure I paid around that much, anyways the lipsticks for the price are really nice quality for a drug store brand, quite moisturising and last

What is your all time favourite brand?

I’m going to go with Mac, for 3 years now I’ve been aware of them and owned at least one product and I love their stuff so much, I know it’s not the cheapest of stuff but it’s not overly expensive like Benefit which is a high end drugstore brand, plus their products are really good quality and last a long time.

Do you collect anything?

Candles! Okay so I have this desk and it has a small cupboard in it and I can say that it is full of candles, I have some candles from Ikea, which smell amazing I have about 5 of them, then I have 12 Yankee candles which are just small ones that you put in holders and then I have 3 bags of tea lights, I have an obsessions with candles and as I type I have one lit right now oops?

Early bird or night owl?

This is a tough one… it depends the majority of the time I am a night owl and will stay up really late, plus I get very productive at around midnight so I’m an night owl, but at the same time I can go to bed very late and will still get up at around half seven- eight am, but the majority of the time I get up later than that so I’m mainly a night owl.

Tea or coffee?

Tea, such a stereotype of British people huh? I’m joking I only recently realised I like tea and it’ not normal tea I like, I like flavoured tea, but hey tea is tea.

What I is your favourite tv show?

This is the hardest question by far I have too many to pick from it’s either got to be Teen Wolf or Supernatural I can’t choose, they’re both such good programs.

If you could travel to any era when would it be?

I think I’d go to the great Gatsby style era so around the 1920’s I think, I just think it would be cool the music the outfits the hair it just seemed like such a beautiful era to live through, the music is great too it would have been interesting.

Barry M Matte Nail Paint Review

So last autumn I bought this Barry M Matte nail paint in the colour crush it’s a burgundy red colour that is of course a matte nail polish and this product I was definitely very disappointed with. This was the first nail polish I had bought from Barry M and after hearing so many good reviews of their products I thought oh this one must be a good one and for the price I thought I may as well, as I was in need of this type of colour. And I had completely forgot about buying this product until a few days ago and I wondered why I haven’t wore it much and today I finally went to use it and my first nail went fine and the matte finish was okay, but after that I went and did all the others and well it wasn’t as good, the matte finish on each nail came out patchy, like some would be very dark almost blackish burgundy and overs it wasn’t well covered. I also found that this product it was hard to apply without getting it all over.

I’m not 100% good at doing my nails but I am usually alright when it comes to keeping it on the nails on my right hand (I’m left handed so my right hand will always be better than my left) so when I went and did it today with this polish I was expecting it to go better than it did. it dries quickly too making it harder to get it to even out.

Also when it came to taking the nail polish off it was very hard, the cotton pad kept sticking to the nail no matter how much remover I used, It also stains the nail it’s not that much of a big deal but there’s lines on the bottom of my nail where it wouldn’t come off.

But from past expiriences with this nail polish it has been the same way every time and it’s never a nice finish it always looks messy and patchy, I’m not sure if this was just my experience or if others have found it the same, but I know one of my friends has borrowed this and she even had problems with it.

 I do love the colour of the nail polish and I do like Barry M and I will in the future still buy there nail polishes but I don’t think I’ll be buying their matte ones anytime soon. But has anyone else had this experience with the Barry M matte Nail polish?

Sunday Thoughts #6

So I didn’t post last weekend and after telling myself I would at least write a post just like this one now I never did, I was busy doing homework/ I started to get ill last Saturday so I sat back got my homework over with and relaxed by watching Supernatural and before I knew it I found myself getting things ready for college the next day and found myself in bed watching TV and sitting on the internet.

I don’t even know where time has gone every day seems to be going so fast and right now it’s the 5^th of October, October! Can you believe it? I can’t. The days keep getting faster and before we know it, it will be Christmas. The other day on Tuesday I went into Eldon Square for this Student discount night. If you don’t know what it is it’s where shopping centre’s around the UK maybe other places, I’m not sure but I do know they do this in various shopping centres around the Uk. Anyway the shopping centres have savings in various shops and you can save over 50% off. They also have other deals and you can get freebies and win different prizes such as concert tickets.

I was shocked when I went to this event I wasn’t expecting it to be as busy as it was. My advice if you go to one of these, pre register so you get your wristband (All you have to do when you get there is show them the email and your student ID and they’ll hand you a wristband it’s so quick.) I also recommend going before it starts and get the band and head to the shop you want I mean you could have a look around the shop, try stuff on if needed and wait until it starts and then use the discount. I mean when I went I went passed Newlook and as much as I wanted to go I couldn’t bring myself too as the queue to pay for things was almost out the door. I’m not even going to mention how bad one of the shoe shops were (lets just say they had a security guard outside and there was a massive queue to get in, a friend of mine waited in this queue and she waited for 45 minutes just to get in.

Overall I was quite disappointed about how little shopping I got done, but i did pick up a couple of things such as a few things from Lush and a new notebook from Paperchase, but I was more than happy to spend time with my friends from High school which I haven’t seen since back in August on results day. And may I add I tried pizza express for the first time and it was amazing! Plus the waitress was so nice to my friends and I and she even talked to me after she spotted my iPhone on the table (I have the iPhone 6 and she was talking to me about it.)

Also this week I got my English test back and well I did terrible I got a U borderline E I did so terrible on it, but hey there’s still time to improve and hopefully it’ll become easier, I defiantly did underestimate how hard and how much effort Sixth form would be and how time consuming it is. But I’m debating if after finishing AS (year 12) if I get my GCSE grade in Maths I’ll drop out, I don’t really know I’m debating it because I feel like I don’t need my A Levels? I’m questioning it so much. I love the social side of it and how much confidence it’s giving me but I don’t like the work side, I don’t enjoy my chosen subjects I feel so far behind whilst everyone else is understanding it and writing loads for things and I’m sitting there still not understanding a word. I’m hoping it’ll get easier but I don’t know I have no idea what to do, but it’s just a thought at the moment.

Anyway I got a new phone last week after I had such problems with my old iPhone after the newest update and the battery wasn’t lasting long it was dying by lunch time which was 12pm, I had a portable charger too and I was charging it back up and it would be on 1% by 5pm. Did anyone else have these problems with the iPhone 4S or was it just me? And after deciding I went for the iPhone 6 even after hearing the bad things and i’ve had no problems with it, it hasn’t bent or any of the other problems. I honestly love it and I know there are possible problems but so far there’s nothing bad about it.

Anyway I’m going to leave it here and this was a bit of an update/ my thoughts of the week and I will hopefully try to upload next week and if not I will the week after.

September Favourites

So September is finally over and it’s now the fourth day into October and it’s officially Autumn or Fall if you prefer, but I can’t believe how quick last month went, it feels like one massive blur and now there’s only just under 3 months until Christmas, which for me is insane I’ve completely lost track of this year too much has happened and it’s happened too quickly but I’m excited for the Autumn and the upcoming months. Anyway I’m sorry I didn’t post last week as I was very busy and when It came to the weekend I was so tired and I started to become ill, so I kind of forgot anyways here is my September favourites.

So to start with my first favourite is my leather jacket from Newlook, which costs £39 (I only paid £35 because of my student discount.) Anyways I’ve wanted a leather jacket for so long and at the beginning of September I bought this and I fell in love and everyday for college I have wore this, it goes with everything and it’s obviously not the warmest thing so soon that will go in the wardrobe and my parka will come out, but it seems perfect for the weather at the moment as the mornings are cold and then the afternoons can be quite warm.

My next favourite has to be my topshop lipstick in the colour …. I’m going to say this straight away last year I bought this lipstick for the autumn/ winter as I wanted a nice dark colour to suit the season and I fell in love with it and I only just rediscovered a few days ago and I’m straight away going to pick a fault with it, it’s very drying. So why am I putting it in my favourites? Well I love the shade and i’ve also realised if I put some lip balm on my lips before applying the lipstick, the lipstick glides on and it becomes very moisturising and it can thin the lipstick out so it’s not too dark, but can become darker with more application.

My next favourite is my Ipad Mini this is kind of a random favourite but it honestly has become a lifesaver for me during college. See on a Tuesday I get a two hour break and since it’s still early on I haven’t had much to do during that time or maybe I’ve had no work at all, so I take my ipad with me and it just keeps me entertained or if I’m with friends it helps give us something to do. I even managed to write a blog post during that time.

My final favourite has to be from Lush, wow it’s been ages since I’ve talked about Lush on here anyway, I have been loving the Lush comforter bubble bar. This bubble bar is so good it’s one of my favourites I’ve bought and after buying this I went out and bought blue skies and fluffy clouds along with Brightside. The thing I love most about these are that they are a big bar and with mine I cut them into four, I was going to do more but a quarter of this Is enough to create loads of bubbles and it makes the bath become a beautiful pink colour and not to mention it smells amazing.

So this was my favourites of the month I’m sorry it’s quite short and I’m sorry for not uploading last week, like I mentioned earlier I was really busy and I was ill, but I have another post that is pre written for next week and all I need is to sort pictures out so that should be up next week and I will try to get posts up when I can, but if I don’t upload It’s because of college so I’m sorry about that.
