2. All I Want For Christmas Is You- Mariah Carey

3. Merry Christmas Everybody- Shakin' Stevens

4.Sleigh Ride- The Ronettes

Music Mondays

Tuesday, 25 November 2014

So it’s been a while since I’ve posted a music post and i know it's not Monday but since my last music post, which was my autumn playlist, which can be found (here.) I’ve discovered more songs most are in the alternative side of music, well I say alternative but it’s probably more along the lines of pop punk or you know I’m not going to get into this because I’ll probably get it wrong, so here is a list of some new music I’ve been listening to.

So the first song I have been listening to has been McBusted– Air guitar, I went to see McBusted back in May and It had me so excited when they said they were releasing their first single as a band and got overly excited and it’s such a catchy tune I love it so much.

The next song is by Good Charlotte and it’s called Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous, I love this song it’s been in my spotify playlist for only a few days but I once again love it it’s such a like fast song and it’s one of those songs I’ve been listening to when I’ve been walking to the college from the metro station and it just puts me in a good mood and it makes me want to dance around.

My next one has got to be a new favourite, which I found last weekend and it’s by Jamie T and I have to say he is such a great singer and my favourite song is Zombie. Once again quite an upbeat song and it’s different for me I don’t know there’s something I like about it.

I also have been loving good girls by 5sos, they’re one of my favourite bands and this song is their latest single and I’ve liked this song for a while but I really like the video to this song which came out not too long ago I think maybe a month? and it’s just one of those songs that has you up and dancing around it’s a really fun song.

Also by 5sos I’ve been enjoying their song daylight it’s off of their single album for Amnesia and it’s just a fun song again, I really like 5sos and I enjoy their songs and I love the instruments in every songs like in rejects I like the heavier instruments, but they’re just a fun band in general.

Also lately i've been enjoying listening to some pop music and recently i have been enjoying One Direction's new album Four, which is actually really good the songs on this album are really catchy and i find a lot of the time i get their song 'Stockholm Syndrome' stuck in my head along with 'Act My Age' which if you haven't heard it, it sounds very Irish or as how i've realised it kind of sounds a bit like something from Pirates Of The Caribbean, not sure why but it's very up beat but some of the songs are quite slow and the album it's self sounds very grown up for them and it's basic. It's been the one album i've had on repeat since it came out.

So these were a few songs I’ve been listening to recently and a few of my favourite artists, I have many more artists that I enjoy and have on my spotify list, which I might put into a post in the future, if you guys would like to see that then I might do a series which will be all the songs in my playlist.  What songs have you been listening to recently?

Music Monday #5

Monday, 1 September 2014

This week I have been loving the album Don’t Panic: It’s Longer now by All Time Low and I’ve been loving All Time Low this week especially this album but the one song that stands out the most is Somewhere in Neverland. My favourite Disney film is Peter pan and I was looking through All Time Low’s spotify page looking for some music and I spotted the song and clicked play and I love it, it was pretty pointless to say that peter pan is my favourite film but of course I saw ‘neverland’ and though ooh I have to listen to this, I did and it’s now added to my list along with the entire album.

Another song off the album that stands out is The Reckless And The Brave, once again I listened to it and I instantly fell in love with the song. I’m not going to try to describe the song but I will say that if you like pop- punk/ alternative music give the songs ago they’re great songs. I’ll leave the videos below but if you can’t view the videos here’s the links (Somewhere In Neverland) and (The Reckless And the Brave)

(All Time Low- Somewhere In Neverland)

(All Time Low- The Reckless And The Brave)

I hope you enjoyed this post, what have your favourite songs/ albums been this week?

Music Monday #4

Monday, 25 August 2014

These weeks seem to be flying over and this week i have three songs that i have been listening to and that i'm hooked on. i couldn't decide which was my favourite so here are the songs that have been on repeat all week.

Fall Out Boy- Bang The Doldrums

Panic At The Disco- Can't Fight Against The Youth

And the final song that's been on repeat is Kongos- Come With Me

So these are the songs i've recently found and i know for example the Fall Out Boy and Panic At The Disco songs aren't new but i'm still trying to discover new music to listen to and new bands or artists i've never listened to, so i hope this post might have helped you discover a song you might like or a new artist to listen to.

Music Mondays #3

Monday, 18 August 2014

Once again it’s Monday and tis week is nerve racking for me as on Thursday I get my GCSE results back which I’m terrified about, but straight after I have to head up to town to go to the sixth form college  I’ve applied to, to enrol, which I’m again nervous about as I have to go up myself and I still haven’t figured out what courses I want to take oops!

Anyway moving on this week, well last week on Friday Troye Sivans EP TRXYE was released on iTunes and it is amazing! The EP has five songs including Happy Little Pill and the fault in our stars, which you can also find on his YouTube channel. Anyway this EP is amazing, the songs are brilliant and I am addicted to it. On Friday I actually went onto spotify and found the ep and once I added it to my playlist I think I listened to it for an hour? And this was at around 1am.

I love Troye as a youtuber but I hope he does bring out more music as his music is very enjoyable. My favourite song from the EP is Fun it’s so catchy and upbeat.

Anyway I’ll leave a video below of Happy Little Pill and The fault In Our Stars, so if you want you can listen to them if you haven’t already.

Music Mondays #2

Monday, 11 August 2014

So once again another week has came and gone so quickly. This week I’ve once again spent the majority of my spare time listening to Music. This week the song I’ve loved the most is called I Just Want To Run and this is by The Downtown Fiction.

Now I’ve never heard of this band before. One day I got bored and I was on spotify looking at recommended artists and they were at the top. So I went on to their profile and the first song I saw was I just want to run and I can say since I heard it I’ve been addicted. I love finding new music and new songs to love and this is one of those times that I’m happy I have spotify as it’s so easy to just find someone new to listen to.

If you want to listen to the song I’ll leave the video below so you can have a listen if you want, but I really enjoy this song. I love the lyrics they’re quite relatable. ‘ I just want to run, hide it away’ that’s one of the lines and another is ‘ I just want to run and throw it away’ and I can say that during my exams I literally felt like that I just want to throw all the revision away and just run, with all the stress building up. But this song is quite catchy and it’s very upbeat.

So this was my song for this weeks Music Mondays and a new post will go up on Wednesday.

Music Mondays #1

Monday, 4 August 2014

So I've decided that I’m going to upload more on this blog and I'm aiming for four blog posts a week and starting this week I'm going to upload today (Monday) Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. I’m going to  try and keep this up as I want to put more effort into this but once college starts I have no idea if it’ll stay.

But moving on as you can see from the title on a Monday I’m going to start this type of post on a Monday, which will be on music. I listen to music way too much. I listen to it almost all day everyday, so on these day’s I’m going to post either my favourite song of the week, favourite/ new artist I’ve found or an album I’ve been enjoying through the week or even the most listened to song on my Spotify playlist.

So this week my favourite song has been by Troye Sivan and the song is Happy Little Pill. I know if you watch Youtubers you’ll be aware of the new song and will know he is bringing out an EP, but since I first heard this song I’ve fell in love with it and no matter what type of mood I’m in it makes me happy. So if you want to listen to it then I'll leave the video below, but this song is honestly a great song, you don't have to listen to it but if you're curious then it’s there.
