My Top 10 Beauty Must Have's

Saturday, 4 July 2015

So this post I’ve decided that I’m going to do a post on my top 10 beauty must have’s, these are the things I reach for on a daily basis and absolutely love.

L’Oreal Superstar Mascara- this mascara has become a favourite of mine very quickly, I have small eyelashes and this mascara works wonders, there are two sides. The first side is a white primer, which creates volume on the lashes, and the second side is a mascara, which lengthens the lashes. It’s brilliant and a new favourite of mine, which I’ll end up repurchasing.

Mac Lipstick in the colour Lickable-  this is a bright prink lipstick that I use with the Mac Lip pencil ‘Trust In Red.’ The lipstick is a cream sheen and I love to wear this at least once a week, it lasts a long time and being a creme sheen it doesn’t dry your lips out and it adds a pop of colour to my natural make up look.

Borjouis Bronzer- even though I’m not a massive bronzer fan this is my favourite I love to apply it to just give my face some shape, I have fair skin and this works nicely and doesn’t give a muddy look.

Real Technique Brushes- I swear by these brushes since I started wearing make up and I love them, I have the core collection, which includes a foundation brush, contour brush, buffing brush and a detailer brush and as well as that collection I have the powder brush and the expert face brush. I use all of them and find them all great for applying make up and they’re quite reasonable in price.

Lush Ultrabland Cleanser- this is used to remove my make up and I absolutely love this I did a review last year on it which you can find HERE. You apply it to your face and use cotton pads or a wet flannel to wipe away all traces of make up, definitely my favourite one to use.

Liz Earle Cleanser- another recent favourite of mine, I use this in the mornings to cleanse my face and I can say it’s one of the best cleansers I’ve used, I again did a full review which you can find HERE. It makes my skin so much brighter and feel so much better and look better whilst helping get rid of any spots I have.

Batiste Dry Shampoo- this is such a lifesaver! It helps just freshen your hair up instantly and give it some volume, it’s a must have product especially if your running late and your hair isn’t at its best, it’s a great product to have at hand it’s a must have!

Fudge Urban Hairspray- this is my favourite hair spray I have found and I’ve tried many hairsprays and this by far has been the only one that I’ve found that actually keeps my hair styled all day and it smells amazing!

Lush Bubble Bars/ Bath bombs- for the nights where you need something to relax you and make you feel much better after a long day I love these,  I  have tried a lot of bath products from Lush but my favourite by far has to be the Blackberry  bath bomb another favourite of mine is Sex Bomb and the comforter bubble bar.

(Blackberry Bath Bomb)

(The Comforter Bubble Bar)

(Sex Bomb Bath Bomb)

And my final beauty must have is Marc Jacobs Daisy- this is the perfect scent for spring or summer it’s a scent that is fresh and floral which is very subtle it’s definitely a must have for summer.

So these are ten of my beauty must have’s, what are some of your must have’s?

Liz Earle Cleanse And Polish Review

Saturday, 16 May 2015

So I recently went into boots with the intention of going in and buying some facial wipes and to have a look at some facial cleansers and I came across the Liz Earle stand. I’ve seen many bloggers blog and rave on about the Liz Earle stuff and I didn’t intend on buying anything, but after having a little talk with the woman who was on the stand I decided to buy the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish cleanser with two Muslin cloths. This was £15.50 from Boots.

This cleanser is the iconic cleanser for Liz Earle and has won many beauty awards. The cleanser works by having two phases. The first phase is cleansing any trace of make up or any muck off your face, the second phase is to Polish the cream off with the cloths in the set. The cleanser has some natural ingredients one being cocoa butter and the other Eucalyptus. This is also meant to be suitable for all skin types.

I’ve had this set for a week or so and the first time I used it I completely fell for it. Comparing it to my two Neutrogena cleansers I found straight away my skin felt more hydrated and not at all dried out; this is a problem I usually have after using my other cleansers. My skin looked more radiant and it felt so smooth my skin felt amazing especially since I had a busy day and I was tired my skin felt amazing.  When I first tried using it I had a small little break out on my left cheek that just didn’t seem to be disappearing and after using this cleanser for about 3 times I found it has died down so much that it’s barely noticeable.

This cleanser by far has been the best one I have used and I have tried so many different types of cleansers, I definitely recommend this if you have dry skin and you often find that cleansers dry your face out because this won’t dry it out it will keep your face feeling moisturised and fresh.  This is a product I’m definitely going to be re-purchasing.

For the Liz Earle 100ml cleanser and two muslin cloths it costs £15.50 but just for the 100ml cleanser it costs  £14.

Have any of you tried this product before if so what are your thoughts on it?
